Refunds and Cancellations


Prescription lenses are specifically designed to adapt to you and your prescription only.  This is the reason we cannot offer refunds on prescription lenses.

In the event you wish to cancel your order it must be done by the close of business on the same day, in order to receive a full refund. All costs incurred once a prescription order has been started at the lab, whether or not completed, will be the patient’s responsibility. Therefore, a cancellation fee might be applicable and prices might vary.


Prescription Rechecks


Only one recheck will be honored for a period of 30 days from the date of dispense. Costs associated with changes other than the prescription recheck will be the responsibility of the patient.

Recheck of glasses that were made elsewhere at Metro Eyes by the doctor or the optician will carry a $30 fee.




Even though we do not offer refunds we will be happy to remake the prescription lenses or adjust the fitting. Please, contact the optician within 30 day after pick up of the glasses.




Frames are warranted against manufacturer’s defect for a period of one year from purchase date and will be replaced with the same or like item of the same price range.

If you would like to purchase extended warranty on your frame, please contact the optician for further information.

Lenses might be warranted for up to two years, depending on the coatings purchased.


Non Adapt


If for any reason you are not able to adapt to using the progressive lenses, we will replace those lenses within 60 days of receipt with either a pair of single vision distance or near lenses or a lined bifocal.  No Refunds will be issued.


Regarding Referrals


Metro Eyes is not responsible to obtain referrals. If your insurance requires a referral, it is your responsibility to bring that referral at the time of your appointment.




Please be aware of the policies of your individual insurance companies  as this may vary from the above policies and are out of our control.


When making an appointment, please have your medical or vision insurance cards available to allow us to obtain authorization for your benefits.


Patients are responsible for any co-payments, deductibles and non-covered fees. You should always check with your insurance carrier prior to your initial visit. Your insurance company is best able to inform you of costs that you may have to pay yourself.


Contact our office with your insurance information on hand and bring your medical and vision insurance cards with you to your appointment.
